As I have stated before I am a Thirty-one consultant. This weekend the national
conference was held in Chattanooga, Tn. Even though I was unable to attend
I was however able to get the new fall/winter catalog. And all I can say at this point is
Oh My Gosh!!!!!! I am in love with all of the new items they will introduce beginning
August 1. Can't wait to hold my first party with all the new products . There has to be at
least 100 or even more . They have tons of new colors , new font, new monogram color

DEPRESSING NEWS

Today I was continuing to help that friend of mine that is homeless. Well he is in the
hospital and has been there for a couple of weeks , we have been working on getting his
paperwork completed so that he can start receiving disability. Today found out that even though this process began before he entered the hospital it has to be restarted since he
is now back in the hospital . Which to me seems like a bunch of crap. Even though all the forms have been submitted and all the visits with their doctors have been done., he will now have to go back thru and have another doctor evaluation. And if that is not enough he was
told by the hospital that even though he is still in need of rehab , they can not locate a
facility that will take him reason being he has no insurance, and he is a extra big person.
Ok he is homeless so how can he get insurance. So they told him they were going to drop him off at the Union Gospel Mission in Chattanooga to sleep and then in the AM he would
have to go and hang out at the Salvation Army . Then the next night hopefully be able to
spend another night at the mission. Now this is a person that needs a walker, is on oxygen
and taking breathing treatment .
And if you can imagine it gets worse he has 2 grown kids. A son who is actually not
worth anything ( Meth head ) and a daughter who could care less until there is
something in it for her. Of course his daughter ( the mother of his only grandchild) would
prefer to let her estranged husband stay with her ( when he is not with his girlfriend)
then to show some respect for her father. I just can't understand how anyone could
treat their parents that way . I mean prefer to let them stay at a nasty shelter intstead of
taking them into their home regardless of how sorry then think he/she is .

SO BUSY NO TIME TO BLOG

Wow where to start . I have been going to a hundred different directions lately.
First I have been on an end of the year field trip , gone to a meeting regarding
the closing of my son's school, working to get lots of extra business on my
newest adventure ( my Thirty-one business), and if that is not enough I am
attemping to help out a homeless friend of the family .
First there is the chance that my son's school will be closed in the next
couple of years. Which actually appears to be Curtis Adams doing, for
some reason.
Pesonally I feel like he wants the property where the school is located. So
I attended a meeting at the school to discuss the chance of closing of his
school and to voice my views on this issue. . Then there is the field trip, the
4th grade class went on a field trip to the Huntsville Space Museum.
Then there is my second business my Thirty-one . I am trying to think of
inventive ways to come with some more business , I have offered to give
away awards but only was able to get one party booked. So now I am
moving on to June and trying to think of ways to get folks wanted to book
some partys or at least order some stuff.
Now being the big hearted person that I am , I am trying to help an old
family friend get all his paperwork filled out so he is able to get on some
type of assistance from the government by way of disabiltity . He is not that
old of a person but is terrible shape physically and needs tons of assistant
and lots of help . So say a prayer for him that he is able to get the help he
needs to be able to live a somewhat normal life .
Oh and also include me in those prayers that my life will so down a bit .

TODAY'S INSPIRATION

Today I got my first newsletter from the director of Thirty-one and there was a
wonderful story in it that I felt like needed to be shared with all , hope you find this as encouraging as I did .....

One of the most wonderful things about having a positive attitude is the number of people it touches, many times in ways you'll never know.
Recently, I stopped by a convenience store to get a newspaper and a pack of gum. The young woman at the check-out counter said, "That'll be five dollars please," and as I reached into my wallet, the thought occurred to me that a newspaper and gum didn't quite make it to five dollars. When I looked up to get a "re-quote", she had a big smile on her face and said, "Gotcha! I got to get my tip in there somehow!" I laughed when I knew I'd been had. She then glanced down at the paper I was buying and said, "I'm sick and tired of all this negative stuff on the front pages. I want to read some good news for a change." She then said, "In fact, I think someone should just publish a Good News newspaper -a paper with wonderful, inspirational stories about people overcoming adversity and doing good things for others. I'd buy one every day!" She then thanked me for coming in and said, "Maybe we'll get lucky tomorrow; maybe we'll get some good news," and she laughed. She made my day.
The following day after my business appointments, I dropped by the same store again to pick up bottled water, but a different young lady was behind the counter. As I checked out I said, "Good afternoon" and handed her my money for the water. She said nothing � not a word, not a smile...nothing. She just handed me my change and in a negative tone, ordered..."Next!"
It hit me right between the eyes: Two people, same age; one made me feel great, and the other, well, made me feel that I had inconvenienced her by showing up.
By the choices we make, by the attitudes we exhibit, we are influencing lives every day in positive or negative ways...our family, our peers, our friends, and even strangers we've never met before and will never meet again.
So when you brush your teeth every morning, and get ready for work, ask yourself this important question, "Who do I want to be today?" "The Grouch" or "The Good News Girl?" Your answer will go a long way toward determining your success in business and in life.

SELF SERVICE DOG WASH

Tonight I went to the local ballpark (Camp Jordan ) to watch the
7 and 8 yr old play ball . Well after the ballgame this lady was talking to me an d
my aunt and handed a me a card for a new place that is open in East Ridge
a self service dog wash
now this just sounded so funny to me all I could think about was putting a
dog on a belt and sending him/her thru the wash like you would a car , in
goes a dirty dog and out comes a nice clean happy one . But that is not the
case , this place has the tubs, water, shampoo and everything needed to make
you family member very happy and clean. The price is very reasonable or it
seems like it to me , $14 for a large dog includes the tub, water , shampoo,
shammi towel , and even a brush . I don't personally own a dog but I do
know that sounds like a great deal for all the stuff to bath your dog. I hope
my friend reads this and take Diesel to try out the self-service dog wash . Oh
and make sure and let me know what Diesel thinks about it .

BRAGGING A LITTLE

I have to brag a little bit on myself I just completed and submitted my
very first order ( even before I received my kit) and I am proud to say
it was over 200.00 which is the required amount to submit an order for
me to receive a commission check. I am very proud of myself .
I know that might not sound like a very big thing to all of you but to me it
is amazing and make me very proud of myself . Now that I have one small
goal under my belt it is now time to think about the next step . I have
40 days to complete 5 more orders/parties and when I am able to do
that then I get all sorts of bonuses along the way especially for every
two qualifing orders submitted I earn products to help my business
along the way . So now that I have bored you with all of my bragging
I will stop for the night . But just remember if you would like to

NEWEST HOBBY/THIRTY-ONE GIFTS

Well I have now taken the plunge and started a new hobby/business . I am
now an offical Thirty-One consultant. I honestly thing this will be a great
past time for me. I am not necessarily looking to make a ton of money
but if that happens then that would be great as well . But I truly love the
products they offer as well as the company being faith based . Also it is
a company mainly for women but also created by women .Which I am a
firm believer that women can do anything they set their minds to . So

NEWEST FAMILY MEMBER

OK I bet I have your attention now , but now it is not what you
are thinking my son has enter the world of Webkinz I found a
dalamation (his very favorite animal ) on sale when I went to the
doctor so I thought what the heck , I have been wanting one myself
so I thought what better excuse then to get it for him . Well he has
fell in love with it and I have to admit I love the website . There are
many things to do on there and it is almost the next best thing to a
real dog minus the smell and having to clean up after one . Anyway
we are now the proud owner of two of them , and the dalmation(Spotty)
has been to the Dollar Tree , Wal-Mart and a 2 car trips so far , and has
not even had an accidents . Anyway if you are looking for a birthday
gift or just something special for a child you might want to check

as much as I do , oops I mean my son does.

CATCH UP

Feels like forever since I posted anything. I have so much to share
with you guys . First I celebrated my 40th birthday this past weekend.
Which it turns out that it is only a number . Cause I have decided that
you are only as old as you feel , and right now I only feel like I am
21. Want a good laugh I spent my 40th birthday at the circus. I thought
about becoming a clown (of course I seem to already act like one)
But I must say that I had a wonderful birthday weekend. First I
went to eat with a friend of mine at Sticky Fingers and then spent the
the rest of the weekend with the family.

Now I trying to decide if become a consultant for Thirty-One. Not sure
if I have what it takes to handle being a Thirty-one consultant . I do
know that I love there products so much . From what I can tell
Thirty-one seems to be a booming company and there are lots of
opportunities to make extra money
from doing what you enjoy . Also I like the thought of it being a faith
based company because I have been thinking extra hard about how
my life is going.And the lord might just be sending me in this direction
for a reason .

HORTON

My son finally had a outing for spring break , since he had to have
surgery he spent the week recovering but today we finally got out of the
house .
We went to see Horton Hears a Who. I must say that I was
impressed with the movie. Of course I love Dr Suess even though I
do not like Green Eggs and Ham in a box or with a fox . I highly
recommend going to see Horton
even if you don't have kids, I think you would enjoy it . And if you go and
see it I hope you don't come out of the movie sounding like I did today where
I thought everything needed to sound like a Dr Suess book .

ANOTHER NEW FIND

Today I received my first order from Vista Print. This company offers
all sorts of personlized items like sticky notes, ink pens, business cards,
return labels and other stuff along that line .Well today my first order came
in and I must say I am so happy with my products . So if you need some
personal stationery items why not try them out. Everything I got today was
free and I only had to pay the shipping cost which was actually cheap
to me . And the best thing is that they accept paypal.

EARLY BIRTHDAY GIFT .

Oh I have to show you my early birthday gift I received . I will be turning the
big 40 in a few days and a couple days ago I got an early birthday gift .
And I wanted to share it with everyone.

So all there is left to say is Happy Birthday to me !!!!! Early..

PROJECT COMPLETED

Some of you may or may not know but I have taken up a new hobby of
hand quilting. I have completed several quilts for friends, to give as gifts
and just for fun . I have been using a small frame made from PVC pipe
well while looking on the internet I saw a larger one that sits on the floor
and has a extra large quilting area. Well good lord the want 80.00 plus
dollars for one , not worth that for sure . So while I had a few days off
I decided to create my own frame from PVC pipe , I mean it seemed
easy enough to do . So today I took off to Lowe's to see what they had to
use to make just what I had in mind , well after searching thru the PVC
pipe and actually came across everything I needed to create my new larger
PVC quilting frame .

These are not the best photos in the world but maybe you can tell a little bit about it . So now I will be able to complete my quilts quicker or at least that is my story and I am sticking to it ...
