Nothing really new to tell. Still at my job with the new boss. Of course there is one funny thing that happened , he is suppose to be doing my annual review but he doesn't have a clue how to do it or much less what my job desccription is , how is that for a great boss. Oh well I found it to be funny.
Anyway sorry so long since my last post been to busy having Thirty-One parties and
been way to involved in Facebook - meeting new friends, old friends from school and all sorts of other folks and playing games . So as the title states I have way to much web going on and not enough for blogging. So just wanted to say Hi to everyone and now I have to get back to my games before I start having DTs...

MORE UPDATES

ok here is a few more updates from my wonderful work place ...It is official I will have a arrogant man for boss as of March 1. I still am not the happiest person about the whole thing but I do need my job ,being I am a single parent. So for now I will have to grin and bare it , until something better comes along or the end or they decide to close the terminal I work at .
My new boss will be a 31 yr old man who doesn't have a clue about how to run the terminal .He worked at a scuba shop before coming to work at our teminal only 5 yrs ago . Somewhere or somehow he is related to Nancy so I guess family means more then friendship and loyalty. But I must say that I did express all of my feeling to Nancy this week , which made me feel somewhat better . And then this past Friday me and the arrogant jerk ( Nathan ) had some loud exchange of words as well. I told him some of my feelings, too.

Anyway on to more up beat things....I have moved up to the new techinal way of gossiping besides having a blog to vent on I have joined facebook , getting used to it and trying to learn all things that can be done on facebook. I can say that I have located several folks I know - a cousin I have not talked to in years, friends I went to school with even if I don't remember them , and friends I do remember and see every day. So if you are a facebook members maybe we can be friends.

LIFE AT WORK

Today I learned some news that greatly upset me . The woman that has been my boss for the last 16 years has decided to quit/retire/ leave not sure what to call it . But that is is not the worst part, there are only 2 other folks int he office . Me and a guy ,who has only been there for 5 years . Well I have discovered he makes 200+ more then me a week but
was told today that after Nancy leaves he will be the boss. That was a HUGE slap in the face , being that I am able to do everything that Nancy does as far as the paperwork and other things . She told me that he would get the position because he is in operations . Personally those few words told me just exactly what she thought of me and all of my work history ,basically she thinks it sucks and she doesn't have any faith in me to be able to do the job,that hurts.
I told Nancy that I would not be working there if he became my boss , he is an arrogant jerk who thinks he is so much better at everything , but the one thing he is really good at is sucking up to the higher ups. So within the next few months I will looking a a career change after 16+ years . So wish me luck ...Who knows maybe me and the other drivers that leave will be able to all go to the same place.

GIFT CARD PROBS

I just want to warn folks about some gift card problems I had over the weekend. My son received a gift card from Toys R Us as a award from school ...He took it on Dec 22,2008 and made a purchase. There was a remaining balance of 30.00 on the card and showing on the receipt. Well on Saturday we went back to Toys R Us to purchase a Wii Memory card with the balance, upon arrival at the cashier we discovered that the remaining balance was gone. I was a very unhappy customer after the discovery. I paid a visit to the manager, and told him my story and was told I needed to contact the 1-800 number listed on the gift card. Once outside I made the call and was told that a hour after my son and mother made their purchase at Toys R Us someone else had used the balance of 30.00 . So I have now had to open an investigation into what happen to the balance. So my advise to all of you is beware fo the cashier, and other folks at the store where you received a gift card for , because I have discovered balances seem to disappear. I will advise the outcome of the investigation and if I don't get the right answer you might see me on our local news with Calvin Sneed.

SANTA IS ALMOST HERE!!!!

I know it has been forever since I have posted an entry. To be honest I have had way to much stuff going on . I have had Thirty-One parties, Christmas shopping, wrapping, parties at my son's school, and the best part was getting to enjoy a great evening out with my oldest ( no she is not old) and dearest friend. Since it is almost time for Santa to arrive I thought I needed to take time to send everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Hopefully now that the holidays are here I will be able to get back to posting again, I really do miss not getting to post all my exciting news ( or at least it is exciting to me ) So anyway
a quick HELLO! and hope Santa fulfills all your hopes and wishes.

THANKSGIVING RECIPE

I came across a new recipe for cooking a turkey and thought I would share with
everyone , hope you enjoy it ...

Here is a turkey recipe that also includes the use of popcorn as a stuffing -- imagine that. When I found this recipe, I thought it was perfect for people like me, who just are not sure how to tell when poultry is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out. Give this a try.

8 - 15 lb. turkey
1 cup melted butter
1 cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is Good.)
1 cup uncooked popcorn (ORVILLE REDENBACHER'S LOW FAT) Salt/pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush turkey well with melted butter, salt, and pe pper. Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn. Place in baking pan with the neck end toward the back of the oven.

Listen for the popping sounds. When the turkey's @#* blows the oven door open and the bird flies across the room, it's done.
And you thought you couldn't cook...

Now if you read about a house going POP in East Ridge don't worry just mean the turkey was done.

CUSTOMER SERVICE PROBLEM UPDATED

Ok if you have read my previous entry concerning my problems with the 2 salemen
at Capital Toyota in Chattanooga. Then I must share with you what I did today . As
you also can see by my other previous entry I am the proud owner of Stanley
( 09 Toyota Camry) So anyway today on my way home I got to thinking and
decided to go back to Capital Toyota to let those 2 terrible salesmen know
that they lost a sale . I called the salemen out (Tony) , then showed him my
new car ,informed him that I purchased a Camry even though he told me
otherwise . I must say he looked shocked, maybe he had never had anyone
come back and tell him that before..He even went as far as to act like there
was something wrong with my car or I had gotten a stripped down model , which
I made sure he realized it was brand new , LE package and the also informed
him that the price I paid was so much better then he could have ever offered
me ...Anyway I left there feeling so much better plus having a big smile
on my face
So if you are looking for a great deal on a new Toyota ,along with great
customer service I suggest you check out

STANLEY

Ok some of you that know me and my son are already aware of the fact that he names all of our vehicles we own . Well let me introduce you to Stanley ...

As I stated in my other entry I have been wanted a Toyota Camry for a while but after the terrible experience I had a Chattanooga dealership I was sure I would not have one . Well I went to High Country Toyota
and was able to get a 09 Camry LE ..Which my son named Stanley ...So I thought I would share with everyone ...So if you see me out on the roads in Chattanooga peep and say HI! to Stanley ...

NEW SCHOOL YEAR ...NEW ASSIGNMENTS

Time to blog about my son, his school and our new assignments. He is a fifth grader and
this week he got picked to be on the safety patrol, to him this is a major deal . He was so excited about getting to be a safety patrol dude ( what I call him) . Right now he is on lunch room patrol and also the bus duty . I asked him what that meant , his reply was I get to walk around alot and also hand the kids silverware if they need it during breakfast. But once they rotate he will get to either open car doors or hold the flags at the crosswalk ( this is what he really wants to do , mainly so he will be with his friends and outside.
Well then I received a phone call and was asked to serve on the PTA board . The strangest thing is the whole time he has been in the school I have never been asked to serve on the board until the last one, guess they wanted to use me before it is too late.
Anyway back to the new assignment , I attended the meeting today, I was asked to be the one that does the flyers, newsletter, and other forms they need typed up . Actually I was honored to be asked , and since I have some good computer skills or at least I think I have some good skills . Then I am the one they wanted to type of the forms and flyer, newletters all the goodies . Well we will see how that goes , wish me luck . Well I just wanted to share my new assignment for the fifth grade .

Customer Service disappointment

I just need to express my disappointment in the salemen at Capital Toyota , I went to
to check into purchasing a Toyota Camry. I had honestly done my homework and knew what my trade in was worth and also what the new Camry cost was so I had a figure in my head of what the amount I would be paying would be . Well after I had to wait for almost 30 minutes for a salesman ( which I had called earlier in the day ) . Then he finally got to me and I was at first very impressed with him , I thought this was a man I could deal with , boy was I wrong. Well he kept walking off while I was sitting at his desk , then he treated me like I didn't have a clue about things ( like I was a very dumb blonde girl ) Now I admit I might not be the smartest person but I do know about cars . Well after I called him on his prices and told him what I knew he called in another saleman. Well then we talked and I informed him of what I knew and was even able to produce paperwork to prove my point he told me that basically he couldn't help me and I just needed to go elsewhere to purchase a car . And also told me that the prices I had in my mind was not doable . Well I came home and looked on the internet and first lie I caught him was the rebate he offered me it was half of what the other dealerships showed. Then he made a mistake and told me what the invoice price on the car was after he said he was offering me the invoice price. Well basically I told I would be glad to purchase a car from another dealership and would not speak highly of Capital Toyota any longer.

So just in case you are looking to purchase a new car PLEASE don't go to Capital Toyota to get one.
And on top of that he told me I should go buy a Chevrolet or a Pontiac.

Another Thirty-One Moment

I am sure that no one wants to hear about my Thirty-One life anymore but if I don't brag
on myself who will?
Well I hosted my very first party last Saturday , after getting over all the nerves and butterflies
I think it turned out very well. There was a total of 11 people who attended,which is a
great number of attendees.After everything was completed and the show was closed out
for the simple 2 hours I was at the party , I was able to make an easy 78.00 for something
that I really enjoyed . Oh and even better then that I have 3 shows so far for the month of
August . I honestly have a goal in mind of something that I want to earn money for
my plan is to either get a Wii or get me my very on Nintendo DS or a PSP as a treat
to me . Of course by the time the end of August comes along I am sure I will have something else in mind for the money . But right now that is my plans . Wish me luck

ASSISTANCE NEEDED - FREE GIFT TO BE EARNED

As you all know I am a Thirty-One Gifts consultant. The all new catalog is coming out
August 1 . I am trying to create some really cute and catchy flyers to increase my
business levels . I would love to have any help with coming up with cute saying to place on
flyers to mail out to potential customers. And as a reward the person who submits the
