HALLOWEEN PART 2
Today is a stay at home night for me . My son does not like to go out and
do the trick or treating thing. He has never has really enjoyed the going out
thing ..We did go out when he was younger . but once he got older enough to
say he didn't want to go we have not been ,which is honestly does not bother
me at all . So to me it is just another day . Now if I happen to have some
trick or treater at the house then I just love to see the little ones all dressed
up. Usually I give the smaller ones a little extra bit of candy in their
bags. But what really bothers me is the older ones that go out I
totally disagree with that part. Personally I think once you get 12 or
13 you are to old to be out trick or treating. You should be attending
a party with friends or the great haunted housed that are all over the
Chattanooga area. So once again I hope all the little kiddies have a
great time out tonight and also hope they get tons of candy ..

MONDAY ON FRIDAY
Today was suppose to be an easy go lucky day ...I was only working part of the day then spending time with my son who got out of school early today ..
Well I left work and from there everything started going down hill at a fast rate of speed. First I got stuck in traffic trying to get off the freeway and almost was
involved in 3 wrecks . Then this man pulled over in front of me while I was
sitting in the turning lane and then yells at me about it . Finally make it to the
school 5 min plus late . Go get lunch and head out to Target to get a few things
well from there another major problem happen . I was doing my shopping
and got out of the store to discover I have now lost my cell phone. So
we start looking everywhere and couldn't find it anywhere. I checked with a
Verizon Wireless to see what can be done to get a replacement . Of course the only thing to be done is file an insurance claim . So when I got home I went through the car again ,still no luck . I make one last attempt to find it I called both Goody's and Target to see if anyone has turned it in , and luckily when I was on the phone with Target someone had found it and was turning it in . So finally something good happen today ...I lost and found my phone all in the same day .Now I hope to be able to enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Have you ever thought about if there is someone else out there with
your same name. Well today I discovered an interesting link that tells you
just that info . How your first and last name rank and also how many
other folks out there have the same name. So check out this to see
how many more folks have your name .......

OPRAH
Today was another interesting show on Oprah . Today her guest were women
who in the past have had affairs or relations with married men . There were
several different women and one was still involved with a married man but
the other had seen moved on from the relationship. Now I must admit in my
much wilder days I actually had a relationship with a married man , and it actually lasted a couple of years , yes I know you are thinking what a bad
person I must be but it was not like that . I know now that is not a great choice
for someone to make but it does have an up side . First you don't have to clean
up after him , you don't have to cook for him and best of all you don't have to answer to anyone . You can go to dinner , have a great time together and then
you can go your seperate ways . Also he will also give very nice gifts and even help you out with money he just wants you to be a happy person . Mainly because he doesn't want his better\worse half to find out , But now that I have grown up become a lot wiser I realize what I did back then was a mistake and
I learned alot from my choices. But the show was very interesting and I could
relate to almost everything that was talked about today .I just wanted to share my thoughts on the show with you guys thanks for listening...

PROJECT COMPLETED
Ok so everyone knows I actually conquered my fear of the sewing
machine and completed 3 pillow \cushions for my porch swing . I
made them using 3 different materials and mixed the front and
back side of them and then added piping around the edges.
Check out the finshed photo of 2 of them . I am really proud of
myself for making them and personally I think I did a GREAT
JOB.

PROJECT
Ok I have decided I need some cushions\pillows for my porch swing to
make it looks better but mainly for the comfort factor. So tonight I
have gotten out the sewing machine and hopefully by sometime on
Sunday I will have a picture to post of the cushion I made for the
swing. Now the sewing machine is something that I have a gaint fear
of , not that I don't know how to use it I just don't like to use it . Mostly
I do any sewing by hand . So if all goes well and I still have 10 fingers
left by Sunday I will have new cushions for my swing and will hopefully
have conquered a fear . So wish me lots of luck and make sure and
check back to see if I am able to complete this adventure.

ALL TYPES OF ABUSE
Have you ever actually sat down and thought about all the types
of abuse there are in the world . The most obvious would be the
drug\alcohol abuse ,sexual, physical ,mental, verbal and also you
can have some minor ones like food, sweets and those types of things .
The reason I had this on my mind today is I discovered a cousin of mine
is back in jail. And is charged with domestic assault now I am not totally sure
what that means except there must have been a mark left on the other
person. He has had a troubled life mainly with the drug abuse but I never
thought he would be the type to be charged with domestic assault , he was
always a easy going person in his younger days and would do anything to
help you out . But as he got older he got involved with the wrong crowd and
turned to drugs, and made several other bad choices . Now he is grown
and 38 years old and has a very long police record and no family left to
do anything to help him . So my main question is what makes a person
become a drug abuser or an alcoholic ? Does anyone think there is
a chance that somehow it is all in the genes ? Personally I belive you can
inherit a gene to make you more likely to become a drug user or alcoholic .
I personally lived with an alcoholic ,actually married him not knowing just how bad of a problem he had, but after several attempts I made the wise choice to
leave the situation not before finding out that his father also used to have a drinking problem . So that is one reason I think you can inherit a drinking problem if you are not careful . Mainly from my past experiences . So now
I will step down off my soap box and basically say this. If you have a problem the main thing if for you to admit there is a problem and ask for help . Then once you are willing to accept the help there will be someone out to willing to
step up to the plate to help . And I also learned that you can't force help on
anyone.

RELAXING
This weekend is all about relaxing and doing some things around the house
I got my porch swing all fixed and hung up . Hung up some wind chimes and
flower baskets on the front porch and also placed a cute little flag by my steps . Then just spend some fun time with my son , we went to play mini golf and had lunch and basically just had mom and son time. I have really enjoyed myself so far ,I had forgotten you can have fun without spending lots of money . All of the decorating has me looking forward to Christmas , this is the first year I will have my own home and be able to decorate it with my son . All the lights outside and the wrapping the front porch is lights and garland ..I am just a big ole kid when it comes to Christmas I always seem to go way out on everything and everyone. And you know it will not be long until the Big Guy in the red suit is popping up at the malls. So guess the time for ghosts, turkey and the big guy in the red suit is what we have to look forward to for the next few months . Hope you guys enjoy all the upcoming holidays as much as I do .

SCHOOL TIME
Tonight was an interesting night for me , they held a math family night at my
son's school. Ok he is only in the 4th grade so you would think math would
not be a problem for me, it was my favorite and best subject . Well I discovered tonight that the way math was done when I was in school is not quite the way it is done nowdays , which in turn made me feel really old. .Now I feel like I must have graduated 100 years ago instead of just
21 years ago . Who would have ever thought math would change that much.
First I learned how to multiply a totally different way , doing it diagonally and in small boxes , very different then I learned . Lord only knows how they do division now . Don't get me wrong I always get the right answer just not the way they want the problem solved , oh well.......Then I also found out that another child's dad was someone I went to school and graduated with , didn't remember him ,but he also seemed to not know the NEW way to do math, thank the good lord I was not alone.
Anyway I am really glad that I had the chance to attend the special night at his school and take an interest in his learning. I think helping your child learn is one of the greatest gifts of all.
