REPAIRS
This weekend has mostly been about the house . First there was the dishwasher
leak , the Sears guy came out Saturday and got that all repaired it was a very minor thing to fix. Then I did a little bit of touch up painting in my living room. Then my dad put up a shelf in my laundry room . So now my laundry stuff if out of the way . Next thing on the list is to get the porch swing nice and sturdy cause I have already had an issue with that thing ( one side fell while I was sitting in ) . But now that all of the repairs are done I get back to watching the
race and getting ready to watch the season preview of my favorite shows that strart tonight . First there is Desperate Housewives and then Brothers and Sisters both are on ABC. So now that all the repairs are caught up I can enjoy what is left of the weekend.
And from what I have read I am not the only one with repairs my friend , Sabrina had to deal with her own house repairs today . Hope all goes well with your repairs too.

FIRST HOUSE REPAIR
I purchased my first home end of last year and remodeled the entire thing top to bottom. I also purchased all new appliances at the end of May 07 right before
moving in . Well today when I came into the kitchen I had a wonderful surprise
a puddle of water in the floor , I was not a very happy person. So I cleaned up the mess and went searching for the problem ,figuring it had to be something with the dishwasher ( I had set it to run while I was at work ) So I turned it on and after the first cycle was complete I noticed another puddle. So I stopped the dishwasher and called my uncle ( he installed the dishwasher as well as repaired my whole house) Here came Jimmy to the rescue and after checking all of the hoses and not finding any leaks. We discovered the seal around the door was leaking . So being it was a brand new dishwasher I got on the phone with Sears and they are coming out Saturday to repair or replace whichever is needed . Luckily it is under warranty I mean it was not a cheap thing and Kenmore products are suppose to be great products
everyone I know that has had them never had any problems. But of course I
have to be the first to have an issue . Well I have now almost completed my
first house repair issue and Lord knows I don't want to have anymore . But I must say that when I called Sears to have them come out and repair the
person I spoke to was very nice and polite and took care of all of my problems . Now I just hope I don't have to call them about anymore appliance problems for a long time...

TELEVISION
Today I was watching Oprah and was totally shocked at her guests ....She had older women ( 60 +) talking about their sex life .Then were other women talking about the best\close friend they have you know the ones that comes
with the GREAT benefits . Now don't get me wrong I admire women that
keep an actve sex life,I hope when I get lots older I am able to have an active sex life as well .But the real shock was the end of the show she had a couple on there that had been married for 12 yrs with 2 kids and had an "open" marriage , the wife had a boyfriend. That is not something I could handle I have a jealous side about me and don't like sharing my boyfriend\husband with anyone. But this couple was just like it is not a big deal . The boyfriend was a family friend that spend time at their house and then him and the wife went off in the spare room and well you can figure out the rest ....There is no way I could let my husband do that and no way I could do that to my husband I mean what kind of commitment is that why bother to be married if you are going to do whatever with whoever.
I had a husband who thought it was ok to do whoever ( manager at McDonals's ) and that is so not cool. Would like to know if anyone else saw the show and if so what was your thoughts on it ...
Personally I like the idea of having a close friend with benefits. Been known to have one of those myself.

FIXED IT
Ok I have played around with my blog colors last night , this morning and this evening and I think with help I have finally gotten it just like I want it ..Might
still change a few of the colors but at this point I am really happy with the
result. I hope everyone out there like my color choice as much as I do and if not try to be a little nice about it.
At least the ugly blue is gone and HELLO color......

ASSISTANCE
Ok I give up and now I am asking for a little bit of help . I want the title of
each entry to match my colors on my blog but for some reason I can't see to get it done.I have tried so many different things but no luck . If you have anything that might help me out please feel free to leave me some info . Thanks ahead of time from hopeless....

LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Today I found out there was no title for my blog showing on the home page
so I began pestering my friend . She tried to help but I was not getting the
results I was looking for , so I have messed around and hit lots of buttons
and finally I think I fixed the problem all on my own . Way to go me !!!!!!
I checked my info again and YES!!!!! I did it ..and believe it or not the blog is still alive ....Hopefully no one will ask me how I did cause truefully I have not a clue mostly by trial and lots of errors.....

NEW ADVENTURE
I had the best evening I have had in a really long time . I went out for the evening on a date. I know this week had a really rough start for me but
the ending was the best. I had a date tonight was this new guy I met and had the best time I have had in such a long time . The evening started when he
arrived at my door with a red rose and a pink (my favorite ) rose , then it was off to dinner we went to Outback and had the best time and talked forever. Then I know this going to sound funny but we ended up going to play minature golf , not sure why but we both thought it would be lots of fun . We just laughed and joked and had a blast , we also rode the go karts ( something I enjoy
doing) and then hit the bumper boats and got totally soaked . Then headed
back to my house to watch a movie and dry out .Not going to say how we
dryed off let's just say it was very interesting and not boring at all . I will keep you posted about the next outing we are planning, I am sure it will be a blast.

NEW PRODUCT
I made the weekly trip to Wal Mart last night mainly for 2 reasons . First because I had ran out of stuff but the other ones was just to be able to go
by and see the plane crash we had here in Chattanooga . The plane crash is a story for later.
But while going down the aisles in the store I ran across a new product or at least something new to me . Mayfield has started making ice cream to go along with the football teams in the southeast . Well they have one for both Alabama and Georgia ( its the same flavor ) Strawberry ice cream with chocolate covered pretzels .Well that is several of my favorites all in one , so of course I had to buy it ...And I must say YUMMY!!! So if you are a football fan and are looking for something to have at your next tailgate party or just want a great snack during the game go grab yourself a carton of Mayfield's BAMA BLAST .
And I hope you enjoy your as much as I am mine...Oh they also have a flavor for the TN VOLS, GA Bulldogs, and maybe even AU Tigers ( didn't see that one)

DALE JR
Today was a big day for the JR Nation ( dale Jr fans) . He announced his new car number and sponsorship for 2008. He will be driving for Hendricks Motorsports and will drive the #88 Mountain Dew, National Guard, AMP energy drink Chevrolet. The number 88 is a number that was on his grandfather car and is special to JR. The number was owned by Robert Yates who had retired the number but was willing to bring it out of retirement to allow Jr to use it because of the memories and what it had meant to his granddad. So let hope this number brings him lots of luck in 08 and let hope he makes the chase driving for Hendricks and being Gordon's teammate.

RELATIONSHIP
Today is both good day and a sad day for me . The good part is I made a
wise decision to cut loose from a bad situation I had gotten myself into . Not wanting to go into a lots of details I basically kicked a guy to the curb that was
not a good choice for me . I had been dealing with a lot of crap from him for the past year or so and today was the final straw that broke the camel's back .
And I must say when I finally said this was the end of it I felt like a great weight had been lifted off of my shoulders . I have to admit yes I am a little sad about it cause I had some strong feeling for him but deep down I knew it would not turn out the way I had things planned . So I will be upset for a while but that is ok because I have learned alot from this adventure and I know for a fact it will not happen this way to me again. So wish me luck in the future and thanks for listening to me cry a little .....
Just so everyone knows this was not an abusive relationship , the guy was just a grade a jerk and would rather climb a tree and lie then to stand on the ground and tell you the truth.

CHATTANOOGA NEWS
Well if you live in the Chattanooga area I am sure you have heard about the
death of a Chattanooga doctor. Dr. Bruce Pancake , now personally I never went to see this doctor and I would not go to see him either, only because watching him on television gave me a strange feeling about him . I did happen to go to his office but only to purchase Bare Mineral make-up . But I hate to hear of a death of anyone. And I have read alot of comments regarding Dr. Pancake but regardless of his lifestyle choices and where or not he took his own life he still leaves behind a griefing family ( wife and children and other loved ones ). So folks need to remember his family in their prayers cause they are the important ones left to deal with all the stuff he left behind ...God Bless the family.

WEATHER
I must say I have greatly enjoyed the weather today even though the rain makes me extra sleepy. But I was glad to see the rain this morning when I
got out of bed , maybe my grass will grow a little bit (please not much) and
fill in the bare spots . Which is a result of all the work that has been done
on my house . Well hope everyone is as excited as I am about the rain..

BACK TO NORMAL
Not sure exactly what normal for me is but today I went back to work . Man was it hard I honestly didn't realize how tired I would be until I came home and had to take a short nap before cooking dinner ( not that I cook alot ) But I made it thru the day and I have to say I sure did miss my early afternoon nap and being able to sit back on the couch and work on my craft of choice. I have been making quilts (small ones) but using cheater's cloth and I personally think they turn out very nice. I am getting ready to start my 7th one I think . I start quilting because of my son , he wanted me to make a Thomas the Tank Engine quilt for him and he had enough faith in me to be able to get it done . And after I finally completed it I was hooked now everytime I get close to the fabric dept at Wal Mart I have to stop and usually end up with some sort of material . Also I have discovered that the Wal Mart on Gunbarrel Road has a better selection
of material at very good prices I like the $2 a yard stuff. So just in case you are a crafty person and are looking for a good deal on fabric try the Wal Mart on Gunbarrel Rd. and hope you have as much fun as I do with your craft of choice ..HAPPY CRAFTING!!!!!!!

NASCAR CHASE
Well for all the NASCAR fans out there we are at the final race before the
chase starts . At this point I like most of the folks in the points standing but tonight there are a couple of folks that I really will be hoping that they don't make the chase Kevin Harvick and Kurt Busch . If they could have a bad night not wanting them to get hurt just go out of the race very early so that would make way for Dale Jr.. Now don't get excited I am not a fan of Dale Jr but would like to see him make the chase this year . So for tonight and tonight only you will actually hear me say GO DALE ! right along side of GO TONY #20 !!!
my very favorite driver.Well engines are getting ready to start so I got to go but just remember GO TONY!!!!!!

RECOVERY
I made thru my surgery now on to the healing part .I am feeling better today and thanks to everyone for sending the messages and concern. And thanks for all the prayers . I am still really sore but I am making it . Not quite ready to run a marathon or even go shopping , which must mean I am really sore cause I am a shopoholic. Anyway just wanted to say thanks for thinking of me .

SURGERY
Well today is a big day ( not really) I am getting ready to have surgery in a few hours to help with some issues I am having . It is suppose to be a simple
easy surgery , if there is such a thing . So wish me luck and hopefully I will be
back to interesting stuff in a couple days .Well it is off to meet the doctors and have a wonderful little nap .

FOSTER PARENTS
Let me start by saying that I think foster parenting is a great thing if done for the right reason ,but on the other hand I have recently discovered that there is a couple that appears to be doing it for the wrong reason MONEY. I have found out that my ex-husband and his wife have become foster parents for the state of Georgia . First let me say that the state of Georgia must be really hard up for foster parents to allow someone with their backgrounds to become foster parents. He has three children of his own that he never saw and now it is too late for them to know their father /sperm donor . His son is grown (18) and he never spent time with him . His daughter who he didn't see for 6yrs was brutally murder . And his last son which is 9 yrs old now he signed away his parental rights. But that state of Georgia says Ok let give them someone else
childern to take care of , give me a break why would he want someone's else when he didn't take care of his own . Not only did he not spend time with his own childern his is also an alcoholic on top of everthing else. So if you happen to have childern or know of childern in foster care in North Georgia you might want to check into who the family is that is taken care of them . Cause it just might be the wrong ones.
